Banners Representing Voices In Our Community

To help represent the voices in our community, we have produced a banner on which there are now nearly 4,000 signatures of concerned citizens. This banner has traveled to the Make-A-Difference-Day anti-war march in San Francisco (Oct 26th, 2002) and the Martin Luther King Day march in Washington, D.C. (January 18th, 2003).

We have also created 10 banners that proclaim:
I PROMISE TO PARTICIPATE IN DEMOCRACY & I WILL VOTE
They are distributed across the state and are being signed as part of a voter awareness & registration effort. For the younger, not-yet-of-voting-age citizen signers, we also have 5 banners that proclaim:
I WILL VOTE WHEN I’M 18
We have also coordinated numerous public flyer campaigns and arranged dozens of video screenings to inform citizens. This group is based in San Miguel County and has a national presence with 300 active members.
